Our history
Since our founding in 2024, the Iowa City Nurse Honor Guard has been dedicated to honoring nurses who have passed away in the Iowa City area or within approximately a 50-mile radius. This group is comprised of nurse volunteers who participate in meaningful nurse memorial services. Any active or retired nurses interested in providing this important service are welcome to join.
Our mission
The Iowa City Nurse Honor Guard is dedicated to honoring nurses who have devoted their lives to the nursing profession and the service of others. We aim to provide comfort and support to families during their time of loss, especially when it involves the passing of a fellow nurse. It is our honor and privilege to participate in nurse memorial services that pay tribute to those who have served with compassion and dedication.
